About this camp

The Digital Scholars Program is an intensive, six-week pre-college summer program designed for rising 11th and 12th graders, as well as incoming college freshmen. Students strengthen computing skills, build college and career-readiness, and gain exposure to AI and machine learning through dedicated workshops and courses in downtown Chicago. Participants can enroll in one of five college-level courses: Data Science Discovery, Exploring Electrical and Computer Engineering, Foundations of Computer Science & Coding, iOS App Design, or Programming in Swift. The curriculum includes daily guest speakers from Chicago's tech community and weekly workshops focusing on topics like artificial intelligence, machine learning, entrepreneurship, data science, and professional networking. Students develop a capstone project to demonstrate their learning and engage in experiential learning opportunities.

A typical day involves morning sessions with guest speakers from the tech community, followed by college-level coursework in one of the five learning tracks.
