The Game Development Track of DePaul University's Game, Cinema, & Animation Summer Academy offers high school students an intensive, hands-on experience in creating 3D computer games. Working in teams, participants will engage in the full game production process, from initial brainstorming and design to programming and asset creation. Students will explore various roles within game development and utilize a game development platform to bring their ideas to life. The program emphasizes practical skills and collaborative project-based learning, providing a foundational understanding of game design and production. Taught by full-time DePaul faculty, the academy aims to equip students with valuable insights into the film, television, and game industries.
Students will receive hands-on instruction from 10am to 5pm, engaging in classes and collaborative project work for their 3D computer game.
