The Saint Ignatius Co-Ed Advanced Cross Country Camp offers personalized training for both advanced and less experienced runners preparing for the fall cross country season. The camp emphasizes endurance training, speed work, and tempo runs, with instruction and supervision from the Saint Ignatius Cross Country coaching staff. Campers will also learn about proper running mechanics through drills, techniques, and video analysis, as well as the physiology of training and exercise, nutrition, and racing psychology and tactics. Most runs will take place on the beautiful lakefront path, starting each day at the Saint Ignatius track. The camp aims to develop well-rounded athletes with a strong understanding of cross country principles and practices.
